Here's my latest progress on Angel of Cross Stitch. It's been a fairly productive week - especially today, I got a lot of stitching in this afternoon and evening. It sure helps when you don't give in to the temptation to take a nap! LOL

Ornaments are BEADED!!!
Here are the four ornaments, all beaded. Now I just have to do another set, exactly like these, and then sew them back to back. I'm very happy with how they turned out. I have also posted close ups of each individual ornaments in my Picasa web album.

Quick Angel of Cross Stitch update
Here is my weekly Angel of Cross Stitch update. I feel like I'm making progress. I had to do one little patch of frogging. Just one little area that was miscounted. But all in all, I'm doing okay. The only thing I just came across is a color I somehow managed to miss buying - B5200. So tomorrow night I'll have to hit Joann's and/or Michael's to find it!!! There is one square where I need to do three stitches of that color, and I don't want to get too far afield or I might miss those!!!!
One ornament (well half an ornament) down!
Well, here is my first finished ornament - beading and all. The picture is a tad misleading as it's leaning against a red tomato pin cushion...but you get the idea. I am really happy with the way they're turning out. Now I just have to wait for my bead order from Mill Hill Beads. I placed the order yesterday, so we shall see how long they take to get here.
OOPS!!! I've gotten enough questions to know that I blew it by not including WHERE the pattern came from. It's actually from an old issue of Cross Stitching and Country Crafts (I think that's the magazine title) - Jan/Feb 1988. Someone on one of my message boards was looking for the pattern (she had made them way back when, and wanted to make another set), and once someone found her the source I went onto eBay and found the back issue of the magazine. I think I paid about $5.00 for 10 or 12 back issues (plus shipping). Someone else I know found the magazine for 99 cents on eBay.
