March Freebie Fractal

Well, here's my progress so far on the free fractal for the month of March. I started it as kind of a rotation project to alternate with Angel of Cross Stitch. It's a TON of confetti stitches, as you can tell. I am thru the first three rows of blocks of ten on page one. I think I'm going to set it aside for a week's worth of Christmas ornament stitching. Then a week on Angel, then back to this for a week, etc. That way I won't get tired of any of them! (Famous last words!).

Floss Exchange

This is the lovely floss I got from Tammy as part of the ILCS floss exchange. It was so much fun to participate...now if the floss I ordered for Tammy would just get here so I could send it off to her!!! If I was thinking, I would have had it sent directly to her (of course, after I ordered it I discovered a LNS that I COULD have bought from!!!). I love blues and purples, so these are just perfect for me!

Walking to Town Update

Here is my latest update on "Walking to Town".

I have to say - I was VERY impressed with the customer service from Dimensions. This is a kit (I bought it when I first got re-bitten by the stitching bug, and wasn't sure I wanted to invest in fabric, and floss, etc, etc.....). I ran out of one color of floss (hard to see in the picture...but toward the middle there is a steeple, and it's half white and half purple, the purple being kind of the "shadow side" and I didn't have any purple left when I got to it). I e-mailed Dimensions (dummy me forgot to include my snail mail address, guess I thought they could e-mail me the floss!!!), they responded the following morning asking for my address. That was toward the end of last week, and this morning I had floss in my mailbox! (May have been there for a while, I hadn't been to the PO Box in about a week and a half). I was very impressed!!

Well, I've finished the first page of Angel of Cross Stitch (although it's page 4, since I started in the middle)....

Now I'm working on the fractal freebie for March. Because, of course, I needed another project!!! Maybe this weekend I'll bring home "Walking to Town" and update my progress on that too.

Angel of Cross Stitch Update

Here's my latest progress on Angel of Cross Stitch. It's been a fairly productive week - especially today, I got a lot of stitching in this afternoon and evening. It sure helps when you don't give in to the temptation to take a nap! LOL

Not the greatest picture (not sure why it's so blurry...hopefully I'll do better next time). But here is my progress on AOCS. I'm almost over to start the border. It is a TON of color changes, but I'm really enjoying stitching it!

Walking to Town - 02/17/08

This picture didn't turn out great, it's a little bit blurry. But I am making progress (I think it's been three weeks since I last remembered to bring it home and take a picture.....). I only work on it on my lunch hour at work.
