MawMaw's Quilt

Well, it's Sunday, so that must mean it's time to change projects in my rotation. I stitched on MawMaw's Quilt (by M Designs) this week. It's coming along - I really like the colors and the pattern, so I'm happy with the way it turned out.

On another subject entirely - I can't figure out why I took this picture with the same exact settings on my camera as I used for my Lizzie Kate yesterday, and this picture turned out fine....I usually take six pictures (gotta love digital cameras!) three on "regular" and three on "close-up". On the Lizzie Kate none of them turned out, on this one there was only one that was blurry.

Oh well....I'm not a photographer, so I guess I won't worry about it. As long as I can see the progress, I'm okay with it! LOL

Looks GREAT Kathy.

I have the same problems taking pictures of my stitching. Maybe we can get Meari to give us a class on photo taking LOL

Looks like you got alot done. Have problems with my camera as well, close ups never come out right.

This is beautiful, Kathy. Have you tried the macro setting on your camera.? It allows you to take close-ups clearly. It's the symbol of the tulip on most cameras.

I get the same problem, sometimes wonder if it's to do with the colour.

Looks pretty Kathy! I find putting my stitching under my Ott lite and not using the flash works best for me!

Kathy, Your stitching is exquisite. I love the way everything is turning out. Do you use two or three strands when stitching? Just curious. Debi

I love this piece, not that I would stitch it, lol. But it is beautiful. I am there with you on the camera troubles. What works for me one day usually doesn't the next. Let's hire Meari to come out to Cali and take our photos for us, lol!!
